Triton AX: Accurately and Uniformly Maintains High Temperatures While Flowing

Triton AX is the first heating and cooling electrochemical system for TEM and has patented heating technology to ensure uniform temperatures even while flowing liquids. Protochips FrameHeater (trademarked) technology has an embedded heating coil within the MEMS device’s silicon frame. This heats up the entire top E-chip, providing enough power to heat the entire area of liquid surrounding the sample. With so much power supplied, the temperature is uniformly maintained even while flowing, but still safe for the microscope. The included AXON Synchronicity software mitigates the drift for a completely stable image while heating.

In addition to supporting uniform temperature in liquid, the patented FrameHeater technology is constantly sensing and measuring the temperature at the sample throughout an experiment. The closed-loop control built into the software ensures the temperature is accurate even during flow.
